As a law abiding U.S. born citizen and Washington resident, I fully support HB 1026 requiring that only U.S. citizens and legal immigrants be issued drivers licenses.

Illegal aliens should not be allowed to remain in the state let alone be issued a drivers license or ID card.

The time has long passed for the State of Washington to get in line with the other 47 states that do not issue drivers licenses

    to illegal aliens.

In regards to House Bill 1026 of 2009 it is about time someone started showing some common sense in the House of Representatives. We need a bill like 1026 to restore some sanity to our current legislation regarding drivers licenses. We ane told that drivers licenses are issues as a privledge rather than an entitlement. By issuing licenses and identification cards to illegals we are telling them that it is okay to be in this country illegally and we welcome you here. At last a voice from the wilderness Rep Armstrong has spoken for those of us who say enough is enough. Immigrants should come here through the front door just as our fathers and their fathers did. They should not be rewarded for breaking the same laws that others have adided by for centuries.

This bill also needs to recind all drivers licenses that have been issued in the past. I witnessed a woman screaming at an employee of the DMV demanding that the person administering the driving test to her boyfriend speak spanish. Hello our traffic signs are in English!! This is a no brainer legislation. PASS IT!!

Absolutely incredible. Gregoire and her open border policies need to go! Her immigration policies sink us deeper and deeper into debt every year and then she has the audacity to go begging congress for more money, from us taxpayers to bail out her failed policies.  This is damning for us American taxpayers who follow the letter of the law and then come to realize the letter of the law only applies to us citizens and not people here illegally. They are not entitled to anything!
