This is another move by developers to put in place a mechanism that would allow land use restrictions to be overturned while being touted by real estate interests as a "service" to those unable to afford housing. How shamefully transparent. Since when do developers have the "people's interests" at heart ?? They just want another way of making money without having to actually work at doing it right. Watching how recent land plots in Bremerton are scraped completely bare instead of working with the landscape to build in an environmently friendly & asthetically pleasing way, show how little imagination is being employed. I do not want any support given to developers unless they are willing to change their ways. I'm tired of slash & burn development. We deserve better. Left unchecked, these companies will cut down every tree in Washington. It will be California style treeless suburbia from border-to-border. No thanks.

This needs to go through as amended. King County is running amuck trying to rule over KC cities without giving the cities any say. The issue in Maple Valley is a good example. The property, known locally as the donut hole because it sits in the middle of the city, needs to be annexed immediately into the city of Maple Valley when the property is sold. To do less is a disservice to all King County citizens.
