Yahoo!!! its about time our dogs get some recognition. I don't go in bars, but I resent having to let my dog stay in the car while I go into hardware stores etc. My dog is better behaved than most kids I see running and screaming in the stores. She stays on leash and at my side at all times. Dogs are close companions to many people as mine is to me. Give the dogs a break.

    reality check

I suppose the first question is: Do the dogs have to be three years of age, the equiivalent of 21, and be able to prove it.

And just remember...no smoking dogs allowed!

    Get Real

There aren't that many people allergic to dogs, let the dogs go to bars. If people are allergic or if they have a phobia to dogs they can just go to non-bowser bars. It's just like with smoking, if people don't like smoke from a cigarette they can go to non-smok...... Oh, that's right.....Nevermind.

I think it is up to the owner of the business what they allow in. weather it be dogs or smokers.

    You're kidding right?

NO,,..NO,...NO,...Dogs should have to smoke outside in cold, damp, wet, hot, weather too. Will there be separate K-9 section?,...wouldn't want them to "migrate" to the non-K-9 side of the same room.

    Dogs but no smokers?

So now we treat our pets better than people? We allow a dog to come in out of the cold but not a smoker? Incredible.

    under worked and over paid!!!

I have never heard of something so stupid in my life. and how is going to be liable if "fido" decides he does not like someone or another dog and a fight breaks out and a patron is hurt? I surely hope not the bar owner. No dog should be allowed in any place of business unless its a seeing eye or K-9 dog. Fido never bites, tell that to the last person that was harmed by a dog. I hate to say it, but the truth is, there are far more important problems in WAshington state and for once I would like to see both the House and SEnate earn their wages and use some common sense if that is not too much to ask for on the taxpayers backs.

    Stupid Law

Clouseau: Does your dog bite? Hotel Clerk: No. Clouseau: [bowing down to pet the dog] Nice doggie. [Dog barks and bites Clouseau in the hand] Clouseau: I thought you said your dog did not bite! Hotel Clerk: That is not my dog.

    Awesome law!

I'm all for it. Having lived where people aren't so prissy about such things, I've seen firsthand that it's no big deal. Of course leave it up to the individual restaurant owner, but it would be an especially nice option for outdoor dining areas.
