For this plan to work, the city will have to use Eminent Domain to secure more than 419 properties. Many of us want to see the area redeveloped, but we do not want to be forced to sell our properties to the city who will then turn them over to developers for demolition. We have been told by the Renton City Administration that they intend to blight the area before they use eminent Domain to then take our properties. We need your help to help pass some law that will protect us from the city who's only goal is to increase the property taxes that feed their general budget. Taking our properties for redevelopment is wrong and we need legeslative support from you and the other elected officals that will stop this from happening.

2006 Senate Bill 6808 (Private property rights protection act)

Introduced in the Senate on January 25, 2006

Click here to view bill details.
