We need to keep the death penalty. The death penalty neeeds to be used more offen. the purpose for the death penalty is to ensure the public that the person who committed first degree murder never gets out and has the oppertunity to kill someone else. human life is sacred. Anyone who makes plans to kill an innocent indevidual and then goes out and kills themhas forfeited their right to live.

tell me that the killer of the Monroe prison guard shouldn't get the death penalty!  What are you gonna do...sentence him to another life term?

Re: 2011 House Bill 1921 (Eliminating the death penalty)

Abolishing the death penalty in WA or at the federal level is a bad idea all in all, I am studying this year on the Criminal justice system, first off it there has ever been a claim that it violates the constitution of cruel and unusual punishment I would like to point out that the presidents of the US and our founding fathers who have made the Constitution used the death penalty, I would say [as well as many criminal justice advocates] that DNA testing would be cheaper to do that once then to have to pay for all of the criminal expenses. And in response to the whole thing on how we might be killing innocent people, there is a lack of evidence for that, according to studies its takes so long to actually use the death penalty on the criminal, that there is plenty of time to investigate that there may only be a few insignificant examples..... Plus in response to the bill, we agree life is sacred. We also believe in a Eye for a Eye and Justice, a murder [such as Matthew Shepard assailants got the death penalty. they killed and beat a man to death. THEY KILLED A MAN, SO EYE FOR EYE they will get what they did..... All in all REJECT THIS BILL

It is hypocritical that usually those that are the most adamant in opposing the death penalty, are only too happy to support killing an innocent human being in the womb right up to the time of delivery.

The above killer should get the death penalty. The reason I feel this way is, human life is a sacred right giving to us by our creator above.  Our creator has also said that anyone who deliberately takes a human llfe without just cause, forfeits their right to live.
