These are fighting words if ever we've seen 'em.  Our "politicians" now stand right before us all, holding a gun to the heads of those they supposedly "serve."  With this vote, our "servants" have officially rendered our authority second to the their own, which has been agressively assumed against our will, via this power grab.

Taxation without representation was passed yesterday and in the dead of night, last night, when they shredded this VOTER (not lobbyist, not elitist, not union, not...add in any special interest of your choosing here!) initiative.  My understanding is that the message of no more taxes has been four times reinforced by the people of our state over the last 17 years.

We, the people of this state, are not impressed.  Isn't it time we hold our politicians to the same standard of personal responsibilty / accountability to which we all hold ourselves (for every action, there are consequences)?

District lines mean nothing.  Every move they make between now and November will be followed, under a microscope.  Ever seat that can be turn over, from elitist politician to populist real citizen with integrity will be a win for the people; for Washington state; for the nation, too.  The only excuse for these politicians now SHOWING us their total failure to grasp who their REAL CEO is - who they SERVE - who PAYS THEIR SALARIES (with hard earned tax dollars, no less) is the excuse we give them.

How can we stop giving them excuses?  Take daily action - help fight the elitist / tyrranical behavior in Olympia and beyond.  On this issue, we can visit http://www.voterswantmorechoices.com/ - we can donate and take action TODAY.

I just received by mail, a "Report from the 45th District" wherein my so-called representatives Springer and Goodman try to make me think they are concerned about my vote and my opinion.

Springer and Goodman both voted to nullify the clearly-expressed will of the people.  They both voted to overturn I-960 via voting FOR SB6130.

Come election time, I will remember....  I hope we can replace arrogant 'representatives' who put party politics ahead of their constituency with new people who will remember whose best interests they have sworn to serve.

I SUPPORT 6130.  My husband and I are more than willing to step up to the plate to ensure the livability of our state.  We live frugally to pay our mortgage and send our kids to college, while also providing financial and familial support to my in-laws who live in another part of the state.  While we may not reap the rewards (financially) from some of these taxes, we benefit tremendously as a community when ALL families can afford childcare or let their kids go out for the soccer team.  We benefit when seniors have access to healthcare and can stay active in the community and secure in their homes.  I wish more people could open their hearts to that understanding instead of saying "I got mine, good luck to you".  I'm happy to pay my share to make Washington the kind of place that takes care of eachother.  I thank the courageous representatives who voted in favor of SB6130.

    I Pay Taxes Too:

I SUPPORT 6130.  My husband and I are more than willing to step up to the plate to ensure the livability of our state. . .   I'm happy to pay my share to make Washington the kind of place that takes care of eachother.  I thank the courageous representatives who voted in favor of SB6130.

Nobody is complaining about paying their fair share, what we are complaining about is the legislature bleeding us dry (or is that what you consider "fair-share?"), while the legislature is stuffing their own pockets.  How can they justify a raise in their pay when those that rely on social security do not get a pay increase due to "no inflation?"  How does the queen justify increasing all of government projects by at least 10 percent when there is no inflation?  How does the queen justify blowing through the 2 billion dollar surplus the state had in her first term in office?  How does the queen or the legislature justify bloating the government and useless bills (golf carts on roads for example), or giving illegals in-state tuition or  a hundred other things that prudent people wouldn't do before taxing the citizens more and chasing the population out of state?  How can they justify raising taxes high enough to be able to force people out of their home during a depression?

It is as if they want the state of Washington population free.  I guess that is the only way the legislature can insure the queen's promise of fighting global warming.

Remember Deeds not Words... Vote the Bat-Rastards out!

I think your sentiments are lovely and I applaud you civic mindedness.  Too bad it's misplaced and divorced from the facts

State govt spending has increased 33% during the queen’s reign.  Inflation rate since Jan 2005 is only 13%.

We Probably wouldn’t have a budget problem if she’d not increased spending the extra 20%.

And how much of that 33% increase have we seen in our paychecks?

Why don't you go through the process of having the voters repeal the initiative they passed.

Lady, I'm thrilled you and your husband can afford to pay more to the state rife with waste, inefficiency, and now a tyrannical majority.

I'm thrilled you love wasting your money in your delusion that our leaders care about the livability of this state FOR THOSE OF US WHO LIVE outside of Seattle, Bellevue, and the San Juans.

I'm on a fixed income. My telephone, electric, garbage, car insurance, homeowner's insurance have all risen while my income has not. I am a frugal saver who goes NOWHERE but a friend's house or the grocery store as entertainment. I don't waste money. And I surely do NOT expect the government to take care of me.

How about you thinking about those of us who don't have the kind of money you seem to have?

Passage of this bill is a clear indication that the majority and the governor are TYRANTS.

Overriding the will of the overwhelming majority of voters is akin to a dictator making the rules.

This blatant disregard for the democratic process should be a huge wakeup call to everyone in this state who has legitimate concerns that our country is being turned into another Venezuala, Soviet Russia or Nazi Germany.
