This only helps to prove that the State Legislature views us as their slaves and them as our rullers. WRONG, we are the employers they work for us! How hare they refiuse to listen, I guess it is time to FIRE anyone who refuses to listen to the boss!

It is imperative that we get this information to the general public so whey those who vote for this come up for re-election they don't juse loose but they loose big!

Frankly I am all for firing the whole lot and starting fresh!

Where's the voting record?  I need to see who I'm voting against.  What a slap in our faces!  Must check my citizenship and see where I'm living.  Couldn't be the U. S. of A.!

I hope everyone in the state is watching as the State senate urinates all over the people! These "representatives" no longer represent us. They are proving their belief that they are our rullers not our employees.

I have already called the office of senator Berkey and let them know that I look foreward to working for whoever her opponet is so we can fire her for her arrogance. I really hope this is the last straw with the voters in this state.

They refuse to place a spending freeze, they refuse to cut costs, I'll even bet they gave themselves a raise this year.

Listen up Governor and Legislature, we are NOT your slaves, WE DO NOT WORK FOR YOU, YOU WORK FOR US! This is simply ARROGANCE and CONTEMPT on your part!

Everyone who is complaining about this needs to contact their "representatives" and tell them, "YOU'RE FIRED!" as of Nov 2010! (or next election.  Get someone who will represent!!!  Get invovled!  Go to Olympia on 2/15/10 to tell them NO MORE TAXES!!!

Hargrove and Prentice, the part that read "VOTER APPROVED" obviously means nothing to them.  Remember those names when its time to vote!!!!!  They not only ignore what the voters say they make it so we have no voice in the future too.  These people are acting like some elite untouchable leadership.

What a wake up call for me. I have been sitting back and tuning out. No longer....this turns my stomach. The arrogance is astounding! I will be daily making my voice heard until these contemptuous and "tuned out" legislators start working for us again.

We have obvously lost our representation in the State Legislature. This is nothing more than arrogance on the part of our legislators. I emailed my representatives. Sells sent me a canned response, Berkey ignored my request for a response. To be fair McCoy did get back to me with a real letter which give me a little respect for him. He told me that most of the calls were for the vote so obviously if you disagree with their actions we need to bury them in Calls and letters.

Does anyonr remember what happened the last time the folks in this country were taxed without representation?

I hope you all remember this when it come time to re elect them.

I say flush the toilet and replace them all!

Re: 2010 Senate Bill 6843 (Repealing provisions of voter approved I-960)

Okay, now...when the gov signs her name to this bill we begin a recall of her "service" to our state, just to begin with.   (what was our budget deficit then, and now?  Next we take out the rest of these face-slappers one by one as they come up for re-election, or their own constituents can have the brass to take them out right now by recall also.  When they don't defend our votes, this is taxation without representation.

This is a stunning insult to all the citizens of our state.  We pay taxes already on everything from doing our laundry (laundromats for the poor and apt. dwellers, the last dem. governor's last laugh) to the paper we use to clean ourselves in the bathroom, and everything in between.  My 11-yr. old granddaughter's response, when we discussed this current turn of stupid politics, was to grin and shout, "they should tax calories!!"  She's right - they just haven't thought of that one yet, but we're sure it will come in time.  After all, if they can spend money trying to get golf carts legislated to drive on our streets, they'll need something more to support the body counts.  (Definitely recall THAT brainless proposer!!)

So, here's a couple better  ideas to allay more taxation and help defray the deficit:

    1. all the money for bicycle paths (which I do support) should be funded by required bicycle safety testing and licensing, same as all other vehicles using the streets which are the ones now funding it via gas taxes and license fees - and bicycles should be forbidden on sidewalks and walking paths, period.

    2. stop giving out of staters tax free shopping in WA!  Didn't know about this one??  Decades of tax free shopping to our bordering states and all the possessions of this great nation has been the standard "to encourage shopping in our border businesses."  Well, first they had to pay a $1 annual fee for a permit to shop in WA tax free, but now they only have to show an out-of-state license.  And, I can tell you that my family members in OR can buy anything except gas and booze (tax already included) tax free here.  I know, WA will respond to this with "but they can only buy what will be CONSUMED in WA".  B. S.  My friends and family across our state line buy their furniture, their cars, their groceries, their anything-they-want-to tax free in Walla Walla and Vancouver, and take it all home.  Yeah, their RCW, or whatever made this okay, says it has to be consume here, but I can prove to you it's never been honored that way.

The people have the power.  We simply have to stand up and hit back harder.

I feel the need to vote Democrats out.  The fact that they would go against the vote of the people is about as un-democratic as it gets.  I am no fan of government in general, but we have seen the candy being stolen from the babies.

Just wait.  This November you will see major counties such as Tacoma and Snohomish swing 10% into the Red territory because of this one.

And here I thought legislatures only cared about getting re-elected.  This is either ignorance of the people or ignorance of their own greed.

Alright voters of Washington state it is clear that the Dems in Olympia don't care what we the people say or believe in.  They don't have the guts to come before us and ask us what we want, although we have been telling them through voting for the last 17 years that we don't want taxes raised and we want to be informed of any legislation that wants to do that.  Instead the Dems vote away what we said and did it without the Washington voters approval.

How long are we going to put up with this?  Those of you who voted the Dems in because you wanted "Change", well there are two kinds of change "Good" and "Bad".  How's it working for you now?

Washington state voters it is time to stand up and let those in Olympia know that we are "Done" with their campaign lies and we are not going to put up with it anymore.  November is a comin Washington Voters.  Send the ones who refuse to listen to the people of Washington state home for good and look for candidates that will listen to what we the people want.  If you can't find anyone then run for office yourself!  Come on they people that are in Olympia were just like us at one time, but they have been poisoned and need to be sent home!!!!!!

Clean the house of Dems and lets get this state back on track to being a state ruled by the voters!!!!!!!

OK WA State voters -here are our elected officials once again doing as they please. Time to vote these idiots out of office - for chaging lawys to fit their needs and then prosectue them for mutiny or what ever fits their devious / crimianal intents on raising our taxes for their own benefits. FIRE ALL of them. Term limits for ALL political positions and quit changing laws to fit one party or the other.

Will you explain why we even bother to vote anymore?  You people in Olympia stiff the voters every chance you get.

You stiffed us when we voted on the car tabs, we have to buy new license plates every 5 years which alot of us can't afford now this.

Senior Citizens on Social Security and Disability didn't get an increase on our Social Security this year because we were told the economy hadn't changed from last year.  So now you are going to raise taxes to get back a deficit you created, our utilities have gone up and we are suppose to figure out how we are going to pay for this out of the same amount of income you were receiving last year.  Do you really think that is fair?  You say some of this money will go to help the Senior Citizens, but what have you done so far in helping us.  I can't even get help in obtaining a used car that will help me with my disability and since I can't afford car payments I have to get by with what I am driving.  As a person with COPD and Osteoporosis I don't ask for much, but when ever I do ask for help all I ever hear is sorry.

You people need to stop thinking about what you want and start thinking about the people who put you in that chair your seating in.

This just goes to show that our elected representatives care only about themselves and not for the people they represent.  They have mismanaged the money we have given the thus far, and now they want more?  Even after Gov. Gregoire said that no legislator would vote for a tax increase in these economic times, they went ahead and, in spite of THE PEOPLE's wishes, voted to raise our taxes.  No matter what we vote for, our legislators do what they want anyway.  It is just this self-serving and corrupt abuse of our political system that makes me think we should vote them ALL out of office.  If you want to make people stop smoking, then you raise the cigarette tax, right?  Well by raising the B&O and L&I taxes will send businesses out of the state.  You think we have an unemployment problem now? Just wait.  After all, businesses exist to make money, not to provide jobs.  And if you make it more difficult for a business to make money, a good owner will just move to a more business friendly state.  Just look what is happening with Boeing.

I can see no reason that any member of our current elected represenatives or administration should be left standing after thier next election cycle. The dems couldn't wait to repeal the will of the people and spinless Rs sure didn't go to the press or the people to make a public case against the overthrow of the peoples will.

You should all be ashamed of yourselves you represent only the state not the people that pay the bills,  you seem to forget that you serve only at the will of the people and you have burnt any good will that was left.

It is time to start voting for people not affiliated with any party and sure as heck not another lawyer needs to elected. Our country was founded by people with very little formal education but a lot of common sense. Now we have educated idiots that know better then the voters?

We have been shown by our Legislature that we are no longer represented but rulled. I hope the short memoried voters of this state are happy.

Our legislators count on the fact that the voters in this state have the attention span of a 3 year old and will forget about this by the time the next election comes around.

Those of us who wish to be represented by people who listen to us need to be sure this is remembered untill all currently sitting politicians are replaced. Though the Republicans tried to vote against it they could have done more to bring this travisty to light but they didn't.

Though the outcome would have been the same, there would have been a bigger uproar against it. The legislature is a toilet and needs to be flushed! I for one will work hare to fire my representatives. They don't even have the guts to go on talk radio to justify their position.

I SUPPORT temporarily repealing I-960.  It is an entirely different time and economy than when we, the voters, approved I-960, which calls for an entirely different response.  It's time to open our eyes and hearts (and wallets!) and deal with what's in front of us instead of plugging ears and chanting nyah, nyah, nyah, nyah.  I work with my church's rental assistance program and we also administer a small publicly-funded (eg- taxpayer funded!) matching grant.  Let me tell you that 1) dozens of people's homes and lives have been saved by this type of program and 2) the vast majority of the people helped are working stiffs like you and me who thought they'd never need the help, but by God they're happy it's there when THEY need it.   Let's support our neighbors and take a larger view of the world than just what's in it for us.  Because sometime, who knows, you just might need it for you.

    Too:

Once the government is free of waste and inefficiency, once useless governemt programs are cut, once legislature quit voting themselves pay raises, and once when the Gov submits a budget that doesn't acutally rely on raising taxes and cut the bloated government, and once the Queen recovers all the surplus she has spent on bloating the governement, I will agree with you. But, I think Hell will host the winter Olympics before that happens...

And before you begin whining about how you know because you work with a church, I do to, and what the state proposes and did is criminal.

    Vote the bat-rastards out!
