Ya gotta love Rep. Shea! He actually understands that both the U.S. and state constitutions delineate authority. Knowing how both Washington governments love to overstep their constitutional authority and do whatever the liberal majority wants, it is past the time for the people to rise up against this type of tyranny.

Sounds like we have a rare friend of the Constitution in Representative Shea!  I wish you were in my district (though you probably couldn't get elected in Western WA).  Keep up the great Constitutional leadership!

Shea would have this nation back to 1790...where only white landowners would vote....

but let's check the scorecard...13 amendments offered and 7 defeated.. what a track record.....

    outdated ideas....being offered  as new...

And now we hear from the libs.

Seems to me that the libs would like to go with laws based in the constitution, just so they can be protectected by the "freedom" of speech right.

Or perhaps they'd like to limit that freedom in the state constitution?

DK: please have someone read the constitution to you...then check the relevant ruling on various amendments by various courts

(1st clue- they are NOT ALL Liberal courts)--Secondly I have no idea what your last post meant? Freedom of SPeech  yes this is it..just like Shea has the freedom to craft poorly thought out amendments and bills. The major difference is....he's NOT doing his job...right now we need to get Washington residents back to work....not worry about states rights and a host of other things that most people who are struggling to cover  the rent or mortage..could care less about....solve the budget issues without burying us in fees and taxes...

but no..Mr Leadership has failed to put forth EVEN  ONE idea, -one sentence , regarding these issues..obviously too tough for him.

I believe Rep. Shea IS doing his job, unlike most of the liberal members of the State house and senate.  His JOB is to protect and defend(not interpret) the Constitutions of the United States and the State of Washington.  He took an oath, just like the rest of them.  As for the opinions of the Supreme Courts, they are just that, OPINIONS.  Since jurists are prohibited from legislating from the bench, the other 2 branches of government, especially the legislature, are under NO obiligation to abide by Supreme Court opinions.

What an interesting analysis, considering that it was the Democrats that wish to continue slavery after the Civil War.
