Apparently the City of Tukwila is opposed to this bill, mostly, I believe, because it prohibits them from charging the landlord for their inspectors to inspect rental properties. If Tukwila (or any other city) really feels that it must conduct inspections of rental properties, they ought to be willing to pay for these inspections under the onerous property taxes that the landlords are already paying.
