This is atrocious!  It prevents employers (those who provide the paychecks) from communicating with employees, while you give every opportunity for unions (who take from the paychecks and the employer's bottom line) to organize and communicate with them.

Come on principles, Unions dont' discuss religion and are not designed to sway religious preference. This bill is intended to prevent any employer from being able to force an employee to go to a meeting intended to sway or change their political or religious views.

What does that have to do with work, anyway? Employers should not be allowed to do that. Explain to me why they should have the right to trample on my freedom of religion and political beliefs.

I believe the religion aspect of this bill is just a ruse (because very few people would object to that anyway) to disguise the real intent of the bill, which is to prevent employers from discussing likely consequences of political activity on their businesses.  Employers should be able to discuss such matters with their employees so they don't hear just one angle of the political story which could ultimately impact both employer and employee negatively.  Why preclude employers from educating their employees about such matters?
