     I think in addition the origional owner of the pot, if it can be determined, should reimburse the salvager the cost incured.

    I think this bill provides a real incentive to ensure all the crab gear is removed. I know that I will sign up to participate in the program, if this is passed. This appears to offer an opportunity to help clean up the environmnet and get some free crab pots!
