Here you apply the slimy tactic of incrementally taking away our freedoms.  The enactment of the law in the first place was unnecessary, because dangerous driving is the issue.  Why don't you focus on balancing the budget by removing from government responsibility the unconstitutional mandates you've already implemented in the past?   Don't you think that's more important?

What took so long?  I'm surprised the Legislature didn't just pass and modify the original bill in the same session.  Here's a suggestion: Why not just enforce the inattentive and reckless driving laws we have on the books already?  Oh, I forgot - more laws, more fun.

 Just like the seat belt law, as soon as you realize you can make a buck you turn it into a primary offense. NO WAY, how many LE officers have I seen driving and using their cells without headsets! Lead by example and NO to making is anything but a secondary offense.

Operators of emergency vehicles are exempt from this law.
