There should be an exemption for this as well as firearms, for those who posess a valid concealed carry permit.

The only people these rules protect are the criminals intent on doing harm. This is only a recipe for allowing the greatest ammount of carnage.

These worked well in Colimbine and Virginia Tech, didn't they?

Why cant we recognize that the government can't and wont be able to protect us from harm, and that criminals don't care what laws are on the books, and in fact the worst mass murder scenes with guns always seem to take place in areas that are designated "Gun Free Zones"  such as schools, banks and churches.  I salute the brave americans that will utilize thier right to bear arms, and have the balls to stand up and fight against criminals that will take advantage of a group of seemingly helpless people, and in my opinion a law that limits legal self defense is a law that will cause more harm than good. Does any one remember a hero that was an off duty armed security guard that happened to be in church with her gun when the Gunmen that had just entered one church and slayed a handfull of unarmed people came through the door of her church ready to repeat his hanius act ? Carefull aim, and a legally carried wepon saved who knows how many lives, and so I say please don't vote in any legislation to take law abiding peoples right to bear arms away from them.
