This is bad legislation. It is intended to allow landlords to hide code violations that diminish the quality of life of the tenants.  Why would the state want to shield slumlords and scufflaws from building inpections, almost all of which are driven by complaints of substandard conditions?

LGI. What you fail to realize is that there are "slumlords and scufflaws" such as myself who actually care about their tenants and their right to privacy. My tenants have civil rights granted by the 4th amendment of the US constitution that provides for privacy protections. The WA constitution also affords this right. I grant you that there are bad landlords just as there are bad tenants. However, This proposed law is well written and actually makes sense if you take the time to learn the facts behind it. My advice to you is to start reading and researching before you post such a broad statement.
