I'm OK with that.  That's the way it was when I took "hunters' ed" back in '63.

No one under the age to join the military should be allowed to have or carry a gun.

How about a criminal penalty for the parents or guardian who allow their little darlings to go out and hunt?

Re: 2009 House Bill 1114 (regarding youth hunting privileges)

This is an improvement over the original but it is filled with errors. First know that hunting or fishing is no more a "privelage" than the right of free speech, religion, keeping and bearing arms, travel or any other "natural right" with which we are endowed by our Creator. The "license" was a creation of the King showing permission to take the "Kings" game and our forefathers fought a bloody revolution to right those wrongs. "We the People" are the soverigns and we don't need to ask permission from the King or the state to excersise our rights. If a child harms anothers person or property there is an injured party and there are remedies that cause a parent to to have a huge interest in controlling their children and their education. What is needed is for the state to stay out of the way and protect the rights of all citizens. Read the Articles of Confederation, Declaration of Independance, Constitution and Bill of Rights with a copy of Websters dictionary handy from the time period and you will gain some understanding of the founders genius.

Huh? [:^)] Re: 2009 House Bill 1114 (regarding youth hunting privileges)

Don't see where "military" issues have anything to do with the objective of this Bill.

Big Smile [:D] Re: 2009 House Bill 1114 (regarding youth hunting privileges)

Yes, it should be a criminal penalty for a parent or guardian to allow their "little darlings" to go out and golf rather than hunt.  Worse yet, allow them to remain indoors and play computer games.  A line must be drawn the length of the Cascades with criminal penalty to cross.

Criminal penalty? The penalty shoul;d be for STUPIDITY! I grew up hunting, I had a former Marine, My dad, teach me safe gun handeling. When I was 16 I took shotguns to school in my truck on Fridays so I could head to Eastern Washington after School and hunt.

Teach kids about guns and safe handeling so they don't just find a gun and play Halo!

Liberal, anti-gun crap that won't do anything but turn law abiding folks into criminals. While we are at it we better ban Knives and baseball bats! They cause more injuries and deathe, look it up!
