My compliments to Senator Stevens for introducing this bill. Based upon what happened in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina, this bill is necessary.

Fear the government that fears armed citizens.

Unless the Governor is going to be able to send an armed member of the constabulary or Guard to keep myself and my family safe during/after a disaster, then she should have no ability to declare my possession of firearms illegal during such a time.

As New Orleans proved, the government can NOT protect us 24/7, not does it care to (or do I want it to!) This is a bill to limit government, a RARE item in today's Big Brother environment. There should be no question about this bill, STOP restricting those who can care for themselves!
