someone cut in front of her

this is an example of elected officials trying to pass bad laws because someone upset them

    Response to above

Clearly you have never waited in a ferry line for hours only to have another inconsiderate driver cut in front of you.

My husband and I decided to go to the beach for the weekend 8/9/08 and took the Edmonds Ferry. When we turned a corner there were cars backed up on the right, in line for the ferry. Since we didn't want to rear-end the car in front of us we immediately got into the left lane. I told my husband (both of us unaware "ferry etiquite") "Maybe someone will let you in." The line started to move and we got once again into the right lane. Minutes later not one but two pepole rapped my window irate at us for "cutting in line." We then got out of line and made a u-turn and went to the back of the line. We eventually ended up on the same ferry as the people who were ticked off at us. We had no mal intent of saving time we only wanted to get in line. We appologize for upsetting anyone and won't do it again!
