Santa can't afford to be coming to Washington This Year

Santa will come.....but he knows who's been naughty and nice. All the people who voted for this ban will not see Santa this year. Even though they took away his pipe, he's still fat and that ain't PC either. To the best of my knowledge, he still says "Merry Christmas", too. What a bad bad man....

Where are all the pro-901 voters ?

I'm a bartender & a single mom. No person in their right mind would ever bartend and expect to to be in a smoke free environment. All you goody-goody people who voted yes..are you coming in to the bars/lounges now that they're smoke-free...JUST FOR YOU ? I've had an 80% drop in tips in the past week. Thanks for killing over half my income just before Christmas, my kids will appreciate it too. Now that you've forced your desires onto the rest of us, where are you ? Who do I sue for compensation ?

    Iniatives are mostly bad....

I'm so sorry for your plight dear, but this is what happens when un-informed, and lacking in intelligence, un-americans vote for something without considering the affects it will have on everyone. They just can't seem to THINK about consequences and only think of themselves; and I-901 was pure discrimination, completely against the constitution. AND based on lies which people apparently didn't believe or didn't know about. Mostly the latter because TRUE studies on second-hand smoke were suppressed. This is NOT about health, it's greed and down-right persecution.AND hate! Right up there with slavery! I suggest you write to Newspapers, and legislators IF you can afford it, and state the same facts to them. They just might print it..now that the damage is in place.I hope you and your kids have a wonderful Christmas somehow, and don't forget, there are a lot of people on your side. Bless you and your family.

Writing to the Attorney General is a waste of time, a dead end, either you get no answer, typical, or you get some 12th desk back assistant who goes on about how they are the Staes Attorney and can not answer questions on the law to private citizens.

They are all at home plotting what to go after next.

Isn't that typical of most of our Reps?

Seems like anymore, unless you agree with what they are doing, all you get is some gum job form-letter, boilerplate missive back about how they justify their own point of view and proposal and some two line, hollow apology about how they understand your 'concern' however.....blah blah blah! Drip Drip Drip...the brainwashing continues until one day...the cage slams shut and it's too late to do anything about it...a nation of SHEEP!

Update.I may lose my job over this.

After 2 more days of waiting on the regulars(non-smokers) since the smokers have all gone to the Eagle's Lodge (they are ignoring the ban) and listening to more & more arguments, I'm afraid I pondered the question..Does it make someone a better person if they're not addicted to nicotine but instead, they're an ALCOHOLIC ? Now,I might be fired.

    katmcq...

are you stating that you made this statement to your boss or other employeess? And now you might be fired? Do you live on the East or West side of the state? I live on the East, and the Eagles we belong to HAD to follow the ban, as they have paid employees. We no longer go there.

    Here's that URL again

Guess someone decided they didn't like the first posting and removed it. Perhaps if there is a problem with it being here, the moderator should take the time to post such a restriction in the Terms of Use section. There is nothing there currently prohibiting the posting of a URL. groups.yahoo.com/group/WashStateSmokersAlliance

    Actually...

The terms of use does state that: "It is a condition of your use of the comments section and this Web site that you do not:... Post, transmit or in any way exploit any information, software or other material for commercial purposes, or which contains advertising" The page link you posted did contain advertising. However, I don't think that's why the post was deleted. I think it was a formatting issue. Just a guess.

    Voting time!

If you are a freedom lover and believe in the Constitution, do NOT vote for any of the idiots on the ballot, neither party is worth anything any more! If you want to get back the rights of everyone in this country again, just put in somebody else's name.I am writing in Norm Kjono, Wa. state Rep of Forces. Or Bob Dyer is another good choice. My goal is for some of these anti-everythings to not get a single vote! Think that would wake them up!!
