The social engineers who approved of this...

...didn't really think it out before casting the poison vote! What about those places in the middle of town where 25 feet away from one entrance puts you in front of another entrance no matter which direction you go? Many smokers have been excluded from smoking PERIOD simply because there is noplace to go where they will not be in violation ot the law. Guess the voters just increased the number of criminals that we have in this state by a hundred-fold. Real smart.

    To All the misinformed!!!

Go to www.forces.org and learn the latest evidence on the fraud of second-hand smoke! Then everyone who voted for I-901 can be very ashamed for voting for it!

    To the www.forces.org poster:

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/11048609/ California has declared second-hand smoke a toxic air pollutant. "The decision by the California Air Resources Board puts environmental tobacco smoke in the same category as diesel exhaust, arsenic and benzene." Interesting, because tobacco smoke CONTAINS benzene.

    Give it up randis!!

Just what in the hell do you think a study in CA. would say?? They have to make up more lies in order to continue the persecution of smokers!! Mainly because people are beginning to find out the "truth" of what has been going on all these years!!

    A typical randis response

Good at sarchasm, good at disection with intent to discredit and besmirch. Not so good at answering direct questions or coming up with anything original. That's why I learned long ago to simply ignore posts from the Massachutsetts meddler.

    Question:

If the evidence is so overwhelming and undeniable, why is it that www.forces.org is the only source of this information?

They knew what they were doing.........

I see that our law makers are seeking changes to the new No smoking law I-901. Not only did it take away the rights of free people, it made law breakers of law abiding, hard working citizens. They now would like to pass a bill that if a business could show a 10% loss in profit,(for a fee $250) they could recieve an exemption. This proves that smoking was not the issue. I mean come on! If I pay the fee, then smoking will be ok in my establishment. The smoking issue was just a free pass to make more money off of the business owners. Come on people this is not about Smoking!!! It's about our freedom and economics. We need to stop it now! Michael O'Neill Selah, Wash.

Re: they knew what they were doing

You're 100% right! The smoking issue has never been about health, only greed and persecution. The only way to change anything is to vote them out! Non-smokers had better get some sense..notice how the amendments didn't pass on the Gay rights bill? One was obesity. They are aiming for them next is why. And Ed Murray had the gall to mention the Constitution for his bill, when he was a sponsor of the statewide smoking ban last year. Apparently the Constitution was only made for him and HIS kind! EVERYBODY better support the modified smoking ban-HB3269, which isn't enough, but it's a start. ALL our rights are going down the tube, and don't say you haven't been warned!!

    Were are the statistics

There are many statistics that show smoking and second hand smoke related to cancer. But where are the statistics that show all the individuals who are not affected. My mother smoked all her life and had five children around second hand smoke. She recently had a physical and the doctor told her she had the lungs of a twenty year old. None of use kids ever developed medical problems from second hand smoke. It is my believe that this whole issue is realy related to DNA. Don't get me wrong, I do believe that some people should have enouph sense not to smoke around others. However, because of this witch hunt created by activist, individual freedoms are now being taken away. We as Americans do not have freedom in this country becasuse our Government wants a peace of the action. Just like back in the bootlagen times. The Government couldn't have a part of it so they did something to make a proffit off it. Since all the Tobacco Companies have been sued and the Government can't have full control over the companies they'll try to make it so they can get what ever they can.

    Washington happennings

It’s no secret that the economy is in the trash, and Americans are looking for some kind of relief. We are facing the worst financial crises since the Great Depression; folks are defaulting on their mortgage payments, fuel costs are outrageous, and unless you have a spotless credit history a loan might be out of the question. The middle class is struggling and the notion of the American dream is diminishing. This load doesn’t seem to be getting lighter, especially when politicians, who caused this mess, are trying to ban the one thing that could help you out in your time of need. In Washington, there has been a bi-partisan effort to hinder, even ban, the payday loan industry. These politicians tend to accuse the industry with what they call “predatory lending.” This commonly used term in Washington just shows how out of touch they are from Main Street. I’m sure that these politicians don’t know what it’s like to be a single father living paycheck to paycheck while trying to raise two children. A payday loan can be an excellent financial tool if used responsibly, but I guess they wouldn’t understand that. With that said, please educate yourself on the issues that affect you the most and exercise your right to vote. It's just too late.

Welcome to the new world order. Now that the Dem's are back in unprecedented control I fear it will remain that way for decades to come. The Democratic biased news media now has a mandate to keep these "Socialists" in power. The news will no longer be "fair and balanced", not that it ever was to start with. It is truly a sad day for that "bright signing city". We have now slipped in to a European style government. If looking down on us from heaven, imaging how disappointed all those Pilgrims must be feeling. How sad, we have recreated what our ancestors ran from. We should be ashamed.

    You're right on!

Come January will also come the beginning of the "Death of America".I feel so sad that we have so few people in this country anymore that are so stupid and un-informed that this country will go down the drain, and if it is not stopped, we will all become Global Citizens...in complete control of the new world Government. Very scary!

Election Day has come and passed, and America has chosen Barack Obama and the prospect of change in the USA. It is obvious that change is going to come, but the question is going to be whether or not that change is for good or ill. America believes that he will bring a good change to this country. Obama has promised many things, such as lower taxes on the middle class, a timeline for withdrawal from Iraq, and a “line by line” trim of the federal budget. What many people do not know, is that Obama is for the eradication of the payday loan industry. He believes that eliminating the industry will be a protective measure for low income families and minorities, by protecting them from predatory lenders, which would only really be protecting America from freedom of choice in our finances. Obama may be bringing change, but hopefully not change from the freedom of payday loans as an alternative with dealing with the banks and credit card companies that got us into the mess we got into in the first place.
