It reminds me of the animated show called "Animal Farm", where the rules get changed to fit the circumstances. By the way, I paid $1.00 for it at Wal-Mart a long time ago, but now, on Amazon, I saw it for $21.00. Go figure.

The even year short 60 day session was intended to take care of the budget. At least that is what the founding fathers had in mind. Saving budget matters until the last week of the session is a disservice to the citizens of Washington State. We really need some new leadership in Olympia. Any extended session should be held without pay.

Stop pay raises and roll back current state wages by 10 Percent. Tell your representative that $20,000.00 a day for special session for not doing thier job is unexceptable.

So what else is new? This is the way its gone with our current legislators for their terms; more taxes, more government, more...more...more! Tell them your thoughts... NO NEW TAXES!! No one can afford them at this critical time. Tell them to cut state government and stop asking for MORE AND MORE!!

I think the lawmakers should wake up and realize that raising taxes during a recession and skyrocketing unemployment is a bad thing.

Why are these politicians increasing taxes? They should be lowering taxes, not finding creative ways to undermine the wishes of the people by stealing more money to fund union pensions.

The problem is that these entitlement programs are collapsing the system; the problem is not that our taxes are too low. These politicians have it ass-backwards.

Why is Washington State following in lock-step unison with California's debt problems? We should be doing the exact opposite of California, not following down their path of destruction like a bunch of lemmings.

Great, another tax and fee. My insurance co, told me all WA state insurance was going up. We all need to get these idiots out of Olympia ASAP, Lisa Brown and the Governor first chance we get!

They had plenty of time. The priority was the budget, instead they nickeled and dimed the time and resources away on other non-priority issues, such as using golf carts on roads..what a waste. How many accidents will happen before they realize this is a big mistake??

I've been told in the past when a state income tax bill comes up that nobody is supporting it. I am hoping they continue to oppose it. Jim McCune opposes it--that I know.

You mean they couldn't agree on how many new and increased taxes and fees they want to impose on us so they can spend an additional $18,000 per day to come to an agreement?

No, I don't think they should have more time to figure out additional ways to confiscate more of our money.

Just another tax, er, fee, er, revenue source.

Nothing like taxing something, er feeing something the state mandated you need before you use your own property.

What happnes to those that drive without insuance? What about those of us who drive a 71 pinto, nobody wants to steal that, why would we have to pay the surcharge?

How will this fight auto theft? Will it buy everyone who owns a car an auto security system? It makes you wonder whose car was stolen to institute this.
