Yesterday marked the first of many calendar cut-off days in the Washington Legislature. This cut-off required all policy bills to move out of policy committees. Did the bill(s) you were following get through?
No. I was disappointed that HB 1065 did not make the cutoff.
This is a common sense bill that would have required an audit of every new state program three years after its implementation.
Actually, I did not have hope it would go anywhere considering the mentality of the ruling party which does not like the public nor the taxpayers to know how inefficient and wasteful some programs truly are.
