All of my state representatives are opposed to a state income tax. Representative Christopher Hurst (D) responded to an email I sent him about the proposals to tax bottled water, candy, gum, soda and cigarettes and he responded that this is an 11th hour tactic by some in the Senate. He believes it will go nowhere. Let's hope he is right.

M. DragonKnight: I feel like all Washingtonians who care about our future ought to camp out on the steps of the capitol every day the legislature is in session to protest their outrageous proposals that will harm more people than help them.

Yet another tax for the legislature to raise.  Any legislator who votes for an income tax should be voted out.

I've been told in the past when a state income tax bill comes up that nobody is supporting it. I am hoping they continue to oppose it. Jim McCune opposes it--that I know.
