When taxpayers don't have enough money, they reduce spending -> Why don't you try that approach.  Increasing the sales tax will cause people to stop buying things which will cause businesses to close and cause unemployment to go up.  What will you do then?  Keep this up - you will all be gone at the end of your current terms.  The people (the people you are supposed to be working for) are fed up!

apparantly common sense is not as common as we think.. first off our legislatures override the will of the people as if they dont have to listen to us.. i think they forget they work for us not us for them.. CUT SPENDING!!! this is out of control.. cut gov salaries, cut programs, etc.. quit trying to squeeze every last dollar out of the citizens.. they all need to be voted out and we need to find people with integrity, principles, and who are working for the people.  i want people in office who are looking for ways to cut taxes and make government more efficient..
