Both Senate and House release budgets

This week both the Senate and House released their proposed plans to close the State's budget deficit.  How do you feel about their proposals?  Are they focusing their cuts in the right areas?  Are the cuts too deep?  Should the Legilsature raise taxes to help close the deficit?  Let us know what you think.

Until the house and senate balance the budget they should not be discussing or voting on ANY other legislation!

Alyson, you are so right.

These times give the legislature the opportunity to permanently eliminate those programs, grants, councils, committees and the bloat that exists in government and trim down the state's expenses.

The state should get back to its purpose of protecting the safety and health of citizens rather than making education their primary purpose.

I agree with Alyson.  Where are the cuts being made in Olympia.  You can be sure the politicians are not cutting their expense accounts and staff.  Why doesn't anyone look into that situation and leave cutting health care alone.
