Nothing like building MORE bureaucracy within bureaucracy.

The Washington State GREEN AGENDA has now taken it's movement to all new heights. Capping and Spending just destroys more manufacturing jobs and claims to replace them later with "green" jobs. I fail to see how punishing industry in this state is going to do anything for our economy. The timing on this type of thing is HORRENDOUS, too! 7.6 unemployment rate and our state is debating on taking measures to put pressure on industry that could cost jobs in the very near future!!!

What is the problem with putting things like this to a vote? I have been unable to make it to the Public Forums, but I hope this thing gets slammed. I am sick of elected officials playing God and assuming their Green Agendas take precedence over blue collar workers making a decent living. Let the VOTERS decide how "green" we go!!!!

How have we let these people into positions of power? Is there no end to the Knee Jerking legislation resulting from Al Gores Docufarce ? At least they've backed off enough to call it climate change now instead of Global Warming. By the way has anyone noticed the rise in scientific articles saying we're actually in a cooling cycle? These legislators better hurry and create another layer of Gov. before the truth is out !!

This is all a bunch of garbage.  The cap and trade is just another way of charging us for owning anything other than a freaking bicycle! This state is going to hell in a hand cart just like this country - Socialism is going to slap us so hard and we have no one to blame but ourselves for letting these namby pamby tree hugging latte sippers run everything.  We all stood by and watched as they have slowly taken away our rights, one by one.  Just like happened in Germany before WWII.  We are going to be very sorry.

HB 1819 and SB 5735 are model cap and trade plans carefully drafted by the Western Climate Initiative. For the first couple of years little or no revenue from the auction of emission allowances is forecast because the auction price will be low and industry will be allocated initial allowances at predicted 2012 emission levels. Revenues do start to increase by 2014.  Ultimately consumers will bear most of the costs, especially those consumers with larger than most carbon footprints.

Tragically, Gov. Gregoire and her Democrat colleagues in the legislature have bought into the man-made global warming myth lock, stock and barrel.

This means Washingtonians are going to go broke paying higher taxes and higher energy costs than you can imagine considering the fact under the Obama administration, the federal government is going to go to a cap and trade program as well.

Government is going to regulate and determine how much energy people are allowed to use. You are either going to starve to death or freeze to death. Your choice.

Anthropogenic climate chane is the greatest hoax ever perpetrated on the taxpayer. This is not about climate change - it's about control, plain and simple.
