Introduced by Rep. Maralyn Chase, (D-Shoreline) (D) on January 14, 2008, this act creates incentives to promote commercial renewable energy sources that are produced locally. Funds generated from the carbon tax would be used to reimburse these new renewable energy sources for their costs.

  - Substitute offered in the House on February 5, 2008, this act creates incentives to promote commercial renewable energy sources that are produced locally. The subsitute bill removes the funding that would have been generated from a carbon tax. The substitute passed in the House by voice vote on February 5, 2008.

This is rediculous. It's just another huge tax. Don't you idiots get it? We are being squeezed to death by fuel costs, inflation at the grocery store and taxes. Pass some laws that make sense..
