2011 Senate Bill 5060: Making mail theft a state crime

To create the crimes of theft of mail and possession of stolen mail in recognition of the seriousness of taking personal, medical, or financial identifying information and compromising the integrity of our mail system. Theft of, or possession of, stolen mail is a Class C felony. (Companion: HB 1145).   Official Text and Analysis.
