2011 House Bill 1108: Concerning the state's management of wolves

Declares null and void any current conservation plans regarding gray wolves, including any between the State and the United States. This act declares that Washington no longer recognizes gray wolves as a protected species. This act requires that any future wolf management plans be approved by the Speaker of the House, the President of the Senate, the chair of the appropriate committee in the House and the Senate, the State Veterinarian, the Director of the Department of Fish and Wildlife, and the Director of the Department of Agriculture. This act also requires certain conditions be met prior to any conservation agreements are entered into for the gray wolves.   Official Text and Analysis.
