Introduced by Rep. Mike Armstrong, (R-Wenatchee) (R) on March 7, 2011, requires the Governor to renegotiate existing state/tribal fuel tax agreements by May 15, 2012. This act requires the new agreements to contain specific language and provides that the fuel tax collected under the agreements will be for the sole purpose of highway construction and maintenance. The agreements will also be subject to audit by an auditor selected jointly by the tribes and the director of the Department of Licensing. This act takes effect immediately.
