2011 House Bill 1632: Modifying cost of supervision provisions

Requires that offenders requiring community supervision pay a supervision intake fee. This act provides exemptions for offenders unable to secure employment, is a student, has an employment handicap, is ineligible for employment due to age, or is responsible for dependents and the payment of the fee would create an undue hardship. This act sets procedural requirements for the Department of Correction for implementing this act and establishes limits on the fees. Additionally, this act allows counties to collect supervision fees from offenders under county supervision. This act also allows the Department to establish a fee for an out-of-state transfer of supervision.   Official Text and Analysis.
