2011 House Bill 1603: Concerning the removal of gravel from waterways to reduce the impact of flooding

Allows counties, flood control districts, diking districts, and public agencies to remove gravel from streams and waterways within their jurisdiction when a determination is made that the removal is necessary to reduce the impact for potential flooding. This act requires a consultation with the Department of Fish and Wildlife. This act prohibits the Department from prohibiting, conditioning, or penalizing any action authorized by this act.   Official Text and Analysis.
