Introduced by Sen. Adam Kline, (D-Seattle) (D) on February 9, 2009, revises provisions relating to investigating the criminal history of persons working with certain vulnerable populations, including the elderly and persons with development disabilities. Grants concurrent responsibility to the department of health and the department of social and health services for purposes of determining suitability for employment, based on qualifying crimes.
