 I agree, I would support a universal fee based program---PROVIDED---the first time DNR slammed a gate shut after I paid the fee, Mr. Goldmark was removed from office. In 2010 DNR has done more to piss off users than any other department. They seem to have taken the attitude the Public is the enemy and is to be stymied as much as possible.

We need a way for the non hunters and fisherman of the state to contribute to maintaining our public lands.  Not sure this is the best way.  I like Missouri and Minnesota's approach of a 1/8th cent addition to the sales tax.  Of course, the state wouldn't do that in the current social climate
