• Introduced by Sen. Karen Keiser, (D-Kent) (D) on January 29, 2009, to expand the required documentation when seeking an exemption from child immunization rules. This bill would require a notary signature for the purpose of seeking a philosophical release from immunization. The bill also requires notice to a parent concerning policies that will be followed should an outbreak occur for which their child is not immunized. In addition the bill adds a requirement of notice regarding risks and benefits of immunization. (See also Companion HB 1703).
