Introduced by Sen. Don Benton, (R-Vancouver) (R) on January 28, 2009, allows certain health care coverage deductions from the calculation of disposable income for the purpose of qualifying for senior property tax programs.

I would strongly urge my legislators to vote in favor of this bill. I am a diabetic and have health issues involved with this disease, some of these issues prevent me from being able to function in the work place, but I not qualify for any type of disability, so I am on my own. My health care costs are steep and getting steeper with each passing year, sadly there appears to be no end in sight. The passage of this bill would at least allow me have taken into consideration some of these medical expenses and have at least a portion of these expenses to give me a little relief on my property taxes.
