2009 House Bill 2023 (ending sentences of life imprisonment without the possibility of release or parole for certain juveniles)

Introduced by Rep. Sherry Appleton, (D-Poulsbo) (D) on February 6, 2009, provides that at the effective date of this act, a convicted juvenile who was fifteen years or younger at the time he or she committed the crime, may not be sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of release or parole. Those who are serving life sentences currently, who were fifteen years or younger at the time of their crime, shall be granted a re-sentencing hearing where the defense attorney shall make a motion for relief of the sentence.

No way, We are talking about turning animals who have been convicted of the most terrible violent crimes, back out on the street. If they are let out, then they should have a felony conviction attached to their perminent recore that will count on the adult 3 strikes conviction, I guarantee you they will re-offend.

The judges and lawyers that allow them out should also be held accountable if they re-offend.

Can't do the time, don't do the crime!
