2009 House Bill 1823: allowing a city to recover the costs of certain prosecuting cases

Requires a county to reimburse a city or town for the costs of a referral if the county declines to file a charge that meets the statutory definition of a felony and refers the case to the city or town to consider filing the charge as a misdemeanor or gross misdemeanor.   Official Text and Analysis.
