Introduced by Rep. Sherry Appleton, (D-Poulsbo) (D) on January 26, 2009, would require that a union member be appointed to the governing bodies of various public transportation entities, including but not limited to the metropolitan transit commission.

Whaddayanuts! Why not appoint a board of alcoholics to oversee the liquor warehouse! Who has a more partisan interest in transportation than organized labor? While your at it why not add a CEO from one of the big 3 automakers? Oops you probably will now that I've suggested it!
