I am in disbelief that of all of the salient issues regarding animal care and welfare that go unattended this one regarding the make-up of the Veterinary Board is being addressed.  We have had 2+ years of study and public meetings on Legislation supposedly overhauling King County Animal Shelters and expanding animal care in King County in general -- with nothing substantial being done, and now this silly bill which does nothing to improve animal care in the State of Washington.  Much to-do over nothing important, while all of the needed work goes undone once again.

Why not just take the Veterinary members off the board completely and put the profession in the hands of animal rights people and those that don't kmow what it takes to be a veterinarian.

Those that have a vested intrest in the profession are the ones that should be governing the Veterinary profession not a group of people with axes to grind.

Keep the majority of board members (5) as Veterinarians.
