Christine Rolfes, (D-Bainbridge Island) (D) on January 26, 2009, to make a distinction that to qualify as a veteran for purposes of eligibility for veterans relief funds, the member of the national guard or armed forces reserves must be deployed to serve in an armed conflict, rather than deployed in active duty.
