  • Introduced by Rep. Geoff Simpson, (D-Covington) on January 30, 2008, in response to the 2007 voter rejection of Prop 1 (Regional Roads and Transit Funding)by declares the state’s responsibility to provide regional transit authorities with additional funding sources. Authorizes a voter approved motor vehicle excise tax dedicated solely to high capacity transportation and an annual vehicle fee of up to one hundred dollars, independent of any fees imposed by other entities.
