• Introduced by Rep. Bruce Chandler, (R-Granger) (R) on February 16, 2007, to ensure vibrant initiative and referendum participation by guarding privacy and assuring that all valid signatures are counted as part of the review process. The bill would exclude initiative and referendum petitions from public disclosure requirements beyond the observation process. The Secretary of State would also be required to accept valid signatures submitted on the petition sheets.
