Introduced by Sen. Tim Sheldon, (D-Potlatch) (D) on January 11, 2006, to lower the maximum allowable noise decibel level for a distance of 20 inches from the exhaust outlet of an off-road vehicle. The current level is 105, the bill proposes 96. The bill also appropriates $100,000 per year for off-road vehicle education.
Referred to the Senate Ways & Means Committee on January 11, 2006.
I am in favor of this bill but would prefer a
lower decibel level. I am also a long-time user
of trail riding equipment who does not need a
loud exhaust to enjoy an outing. Reply
