Introduced by Sen. Ken Jacobsen, (D-Seattle) (D) on January 13, 2005, to allow a county to levy an amount not to exceeding twelve and one-half cents per thousand dollars of assessed valuation against the assessed valuation of all taxable property within the county. One-half of any amounts levied in excess of six and one-quarter cents per thousand dollars shall be used to acquire conservation easements on farm and agricultural land or to purchase the development rights to those lands.
