2003 Senate Bill 5558

[Comments on this legislation] [Text and Analysis] [Add to Watch List]
[Previous] [Next]

  • Introduced by Sen. Joyce Mulliken on January 29, 2003, to allow school districts to propose replacing regulatory impact fees with a tax on real estate sales. All revenue collected would be required to be used for construction and capital improvements. See also Companion HB 1555.
    • Referred to the Senate Education Committee on January 30, 2003, but the bill did not receive a hearing by the cutoff date so it is considered a "dead bill" (although technically the bill could become active at any time during the 2003-2004 session).

A tax on real estate sales to replace impact fees.. So you want to replace one onerous and unfair tax with another onerous and unfair tax..
What the hell are you people doing with all the money we already pay..
